If you don’t have your
child’s long form birth certificate, you need to apply for it. If you don’t
have proof of Canadian citizenship for your child who was born outside Canada,
you need to apply for a proof of citizenship to confirm whether your child is a
Canadian citizen.

don’t receive this request immediately after applying. Because medical results
can expire, we might not ask you to do your medical exam right away.
